Gigi's Luminous Legs Guide

LEGS FOR DAYS: Fashion Month Edition

It’s September and that means Fashion Month is here! I thought I’d share my secrets for giving your legs and body that runway glow—whether you’re walking the catwalk, sitting in the front row, or running to meetings and chasing the kids! (Everyone else trying to live life and balance it all, I see you!)

Say goodbye to dull skin with dry brushing

Dead skin buildup can cause arms and legs to look dull and ashy, but getting radiant skin back is easy with dry brushing. The action of the bristles against your skin creates friction that sweeps away the surface layer of dead skin cells and reveals all the fresh, healthy skin underneath.

Dry brushing also helps detox and give you a circulation boost, so you skin looks and feels healthier. Know how your skin has that glow after a workout or session in the sauna? Dry brushing mimics that effect. Bonus: dry brushing also temporarily plumping up skin’s surface and making cellulite less noticeable—perfect if you’re planning on showing some leg!

If you’re new to dry brushing, start with our original The Body Brush. It has natural bristles that are gentle enough for beginners. If you’ve dry brushed before and want to step it up a notch, you can try The Copper Body Brush. The center is made from pure copper bristles, so it gives you a slightly deeper exfoliating and detox effect.

Reduce the look of cellulite with lymphatic drainage massage

Lymphatic drainage massage has always been a secret of models in NYC, Paris and Milan to reduce the look of lumps and bumps before Fashion Month. But you don’t have to book a massage appointment with a pro to get the same toning and sculpting benefits. You can use The Body Tool to perform an easy lymphatic drainage massage at-home, which reduces the look of cellulite and gives your legs a smoother and more sculpted appearance.

How can massage do that? It’s all about detoxing and draining. Lymphatic drainage massage helps stimulate circulation and reduce the amount of fluid that presses up against our connective tissue, which can help minimize that dimpled, orange-peel look.

Before you start, apply Flow + Glow Body Oil to hydrate and help your tool glide easily, then work in long rhythmic strokes over your legs, arms and abdominal area. Click here for detailed steps!

Get glowing by layering your skincare products

The secret to gleaming legs? Layer! I like to start with Lift & Tone Cream. I created this formula to give legs a velvety, airbrushed finished. It has caffeine-rich Colombian coffee robusta and green tea to help smooth out the appearance of dimpled skin, plus nutrient-rich coconut oil, shea and mango butters to nourish your skin. Apply it, then layer on Golden Body Oil for legs that glow.

That’s it…my three steps to runway-ready legs, no matter what your plans are for Fashion Month!
